Today was a gentle day. We nearly missed breakfast as we slept in til after 8.20am and breakfast is over by 9:00. So after we went off to explore the quay side and got nobbled by every shop keeper on the shops. We did manage to get 2 half pint for our tea point in our room.

Then we went up on the road and got loads of requests to help feed the horses you have to pull the carriage. We explained we like walking but ….

We finally got to Luxor Temple and bought a ticket and went in for at least an hour. It was an amazing sight.

On our way back to the boat we passed the carriage bays for the horse drawn carriages.

And then we had the afternoon off…or I had it off, Judith was booked for a 1hr Swedish massage, which she found delightful.

The we went to Karnak Temple for a Sound and Light Show. I had no idea what to expect but it told the story of the pharaohs and the gods. We walked thru much of the temple with the narration and lights and some slides telling the story.
