Relaxing at the beach
Monday the 17th I practised my driving skills including going through the Baltimore Tunnel then an Interstate and finally Rte 1 South. And then we got off Rte 1 with it’s 6 lanes to drive through Dover and some little villages and much more scenic route. After arriving in Bethany West
and unpacking we walked down to the boardwalk to have a gelato and look out on the beach.

On Wednesday we set off driving up to Lewes in a torrential rainstorm to catch the ferry as foot passengers to Cape May NJ to meet a former grad assistant, housemate and friend ‘Little Mo’ and her wife Louise. We had a lovely lunch at Delaney’s Irish Pub and caught up on how we’ve been the past 5 or so years.

On the way home from the ferry we stopped at the Lee & Wrangler outlet store to buy some new capri trousers – which being my height are full length which saves on hemming new trousers. What’s nice is buying US sizes means I am wearing size 12 and Judith bought size 8!
Thursday was a day to chill out and Friday my sister Evelyn, her husband Denny and their grandson Jayden came over for the weekend and their daughter Jennifer came down from New Jersey after work. I am plotting with Denny to make some rigid heddles for band weaving.
