Thursday 13th July
Friday 14th July
We went to Lancaster PA to visit an old college friend and house mate from Kutztown College days (1968-1971), Beth Dunkelberger. She is a costume designer and has worked with several different theatre companies, films, and a puppet theatre in Lancaster.
We had a relaxing day at Mike and Sue’s house in anticipation of Evelyn & Dennis arriving from Delaware.
They arrived about lunch time and we all caught up with stories and natter.
She lives in the centre of the historic area and has converted a former cigar factory and shop into her costume shop and storage. She lives upstairs in a much smaller area which she has converted with help from a team of friends who all signed “a Wall of Heroes” for her.

At the end of the afternoon Ev, Judith and I went in to Charlotte’s Cottage, a quilt shop in Frederick, MD.

We went for lunch and then visited the Fulton Theatre costume shop, and two of the galleries on Gallery Row. Both artists were contemporary painters and I bought several cards from each.

Then we went to Best Buy to buy a Sat Nav for the rest of the journey and bring home to the UK.
