On the way to the Allegro Lounge in Northfield a few months back, we passed the Tui shop window and spotted a cruise of the eastern Mediterranean on offer. So after dinner we went home looked it up and the next evening booked the cruise going from Cyprus to Turkey, Egypt and Israel, followed by a week on Cyprus. That was September, so we had 3 months to anticipate it.
However the world being what it is, we soon received a message that the itinerary was changed as Egypt was a security problem. So the new itinerary was Alanya Turkey, Rhodes Greece, Kusadasi Turkey, and then Ashdod Israel. When we got on board ship we discovered Ashdod was changed to Haifa due to security issues in Israel.
But holidays for us are a bit like Christmas for some children, the nearer it gets the more excited we get until the night before setting off we can’t sleep.
