Brief description of our holiday in Jaipur

We went to Jaipur on an organised tour with Colouricious Holidays with the theme of Block Printing with Jamie Malden. It was well organised and planned. Our time was filled with visits to textile factories (not of the western sort) but small buildings where fabrics are handprinted by teams of workers. We were able to work in their place having 2 one metre cotton lengths to print at each with instructions and help from the Indian printers.

There were opportunities to have clothing tailor made for ourselves and well as shop for ready made clothing and shopping for fabric printed in Sanganer.

And even with a busy schedule there were local palaces, forts, and museums to visit and because it was the Indian New Year we went to the Gangaur festival parade one evening.
